When Selby (George O'Brien) arrives as the new ranch owner, he is assumed to be just another cowboy attracted to Ann Hepburn (Irene Hervey) so he takes a job as a dude cowhand.
He learns cattle are being rustled and he suspects the boss Sam Hepburn (Henry Hall).
But Hepburn suspects the foreman Hyslip (LeRoy Mason) and when he catches him with the goods, Hyslip shoots him.
Hyslip then blames the new dude, and sends his men out to kill him.

A bit too short actually
Nice plot, charming characters, but a bit short I'd say. Also the description added along with the video is not good actually, because it covers too much of the plot already and takes a bit out of the mystery. You should not read it ... The story is a bit artsy and the way everything had been crafted is even more so. The idea of a city boy becoming a cowboy should have been elaborated a bit more ... and was not done in a convincing way.
The sound quality could have been better -- a bit too low for my tastes.
